Our own Angus Loughran previews the 2015 PGA Championship and shows despite what people say that he is the forgiving type
“I am happy to give Dustin Johnson one more chance in seasons final Major The USPGA which gets underway tomorrow afternoon at Whistling Straights Wisconsin as it was here in 2010 that Johnson was robbed of success by picking up a two shot penalty for grounding his club club in what was a bunker but did not look like one to anyone else, that wont happen this year as they have built a marquee over that particular piece of waste land! He led at Halfway at St Andrews before a horror 3rd round and had a great chance to win US Open! He has also figured in last group on Final Day in Major Championships without yet winning and I just feel his time is long overdue in these big ones and certainly worth taking a chance with on this track.
Bubba Watson is a player, who, when hitting form you have to respect and he is in great form at present finishing runner up to Shane Lowry in last weeks Bridgestone Invitational, only missing out in Playoff to Martin Kaymer here in 2010 at 16/1 he has solid credentials this week.
The two outsiders I like are Brooks Koepka and Kevin Kisner both whom are under the radar and more than good enough to become a Major Champion for the first time this week or at least give backers a great run for their money, Koepka played really well last week and also had a decent finish at St Andrews while Kisner is still under rated by odds compilers and having a very solid season.
