Aston Villa vs Bolton Wanderers

Friday provides a fierce clash between the Clarets and the Wanderers and this is a game that really could be pivotal in both their seasons. With both sides struggling recently in the league to gain points they find themselves in the bottom half of the table and falling. Aston Villa have had a very turbulent season and with the sacking 0f Steve Bruce, they are really struggling at the moment. However, the Villans have a talented squad and I think this could be a game where they start to gel and get over their difficult start. On the other hand, Bolton started the season well picking up wins and many thought a playoff place was on the cards. But bad times have returned and recently Bolton have really struggled and havent won a game in their last five matches. Again this is a talented side and I feel they could use this game to boost themselves up the table. As both sides are struggling, not playing with confidence and frightened to lose this one could be a draw. It’s who dares wins and Bolton might be best placed to do that.

Bournemouth vs Manchester United

Early Saturday afternoon features what could be a very exciting clash between the Poppies and the Red Devils. Eddie Howes side have been in great form recently winning four of their last five games and going very strongly securing a 3-0 win against Fulham in their last match. With striker Wilson on form and winger Fraser putting in some great performances Bournemouth look a different side to last year and look to be in for a top ten finish. On the other side Mourinho’s men have been in indifferent form as sometimes they look a top side but in other cases, they simply look really poor. A bright spot is that Martial is showing his worth at the moment scoring three in his last two and not looking like he is going to stop for anyone. Overall this looks to be a really good game and could see plenty of goals but for me there’s something about Bournemouth that makes me think they can topple this United side and they look a bit of value at home.

Game Changers: Fraser, Wilson, Pogba and Martial

Arsenal vs Liverpool

What a game we have here. If its anything like last year at the Emirates this will be a thriller. With last years matchup finishing 3-3 after a Granit Xhaka thunderbolt, I think we are in for more of the same with this one. Arsenal have started fantastically under Unai Emery only picking up two losses in the Premier League and playing some fantastic football. With a great run of form under their belts and star striker, Aubameyang scoring for fun Liverpools defence might have trouble, or will they as Jurgens men have conceded the least goals this year thanks to the new found partnership in Gomez and Van Djik as well as Alissons heroics between the sticks. With a sumptuous attack of Mane, Firmino and Salah it will be frightening for Arsenal. However these crucial games produce great performances and with Arsenals home form in mind and key players returning from injury, I think Arsenal could pip Liverpool here and cause an upset.

Game Changers: Aubameyang, Lacazette, Salah and Mane

Wolves vs Tottenham Hotspur

Another cracking game for us this weekend as two top sides battle it out. Wolves have had a decent start to the season as many expected they would but have slipped up in their two last matches from simply poor decision making. Wolves are a really good side and one of those I can see challenging for the Europa league and going far in the domestic cups. Tottenham have also been a bit hit and miss and I think the ideas are there but the execution just isn’t and this is definitely shown in the Champions League. Despite that, with a strong squad, Pochettino can get something out of these players and with Harry Kane up top, the Wolves defence should be concerned. For me I don’t see either side being able to hold out for the result so I think it could be a draw.

Game Changers: Kane, Erikson, Neves and Adama

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

A London derby for Sunday evening, what a treat. This clash for me is already a conclusive result and I imagine most will think Chelsea have got this one sewn up. More about Chelsea as the blues have been in good form recently and put on a superb display against Burnley hammering four past them with even Morata getting on the score sheet! With Hazard and Willian tearing the league apart I think Palace should be really worried here. However, Crystal Palace stand in their way of three points and after a controversial draw against Arsenal on Sunday have a bit of confidence going into this one. Having Zaha in their ranks producing some inspiring performances and a questionable Chelsea defence will have to watch out here. For me this game will have lots of goals. BTW -when will Southgate start seeing how good Zaha is?

Game Changers: Hazard, Willian, Zaha and Wan Bissaka

Huddersfield vs Fulham

Monday Night football produces a clash between two of the bottom sides in the league this season. Fulham and Huddersfield have both been struggling for form. For me this game is a one to watch for it possibly being high in goals but also for it being a stepping stone for either sides season and future in the league. Huddersfield haven’t hit the form they had last season and are rock bottom in the league and the side just don’t seem to have any confidence this year and are really all over the place. Fulham haven’t hit the ground running either but for me they are simply the better side in this one with class players such as Mitrovic and Seri, I’m confident they can rebuild here.
