Netherlands vs France

Friday and another top game that isnt the Championship this time! This is a cracking game involving two top international outfits who really want to win and arguably two of the best in the world in current form. Anyway let’s start with the Netherlands who come into this game with not unbeatable form behind them but considering they got a win and a draw in their last two games against Germany and Belgium I think we can safely say they are playing well. This team really has some stars and for me the most notable are Depay and big Virgil Van Djik

who are just incredible and unstoppable especially Virgil who is arguably the best centre back in the Premier League and possibly the world. The sky is the limit with this new look team but just look at their opposition. France are incredible as a football team maybe not as a nation! Anyway, when you look at this sides quality and depth this side has is unbelievable. With stars such as Pogba (who plays great for France), Mbeppe and Varane already in the side and players like Martial and Lacazette who have been high flying in the Premier league warming the bench, this is a contest. For Frances unbelievable squad I think they have this one but it will be a tough fight and one i am really looking forward to.

Wales vs Denmark

Gareth Bale vs  Christian Erikson, two ex Tottenham teammates go head to head for their respective nations. Wales are a good side with some decent players, Bale, Ramsey and Joe Allen. Wales have a new vigour under Manager Ryan Giggs who has shown to be a supporter of a blend between the old and the young and it has seen many youngsters handed a chance to impress. Wales are a decent but I have a feeling they are still trying to get the right mix in the squad so that they can reach new levels. Denmark, on the other hand, are dealing with the loss of Lord Bendtner who is currently in prison, but seriously Denmark has a strong side with players like Erikson, Wass and Schmeichal in their ranks who are all top players in their own right. For me this is the better side as they are more gelled and have a lot of depth and quality and I think they will win this one.

Game Changers: Bale, Ramsay, Erikson and Schmeichal

Brazil vs Uruguay

This is simply a top game that means a lot to both nations and one to watch and get involved in. Even though it’s a friendly this match is the ultimate South American grudge battle as these two sides are incredible. Brazil, what can I say, they are fantastic, their football is wonderful to watch (apart from the diving) and they are gifted with a plethora of world-class players. With the likes of Neymar and Coutinho upfront, Uruguay’s defence will definitely be having sleepless nights this week. Or will they? Uruguay are lucky to have the backline duo of Athletico Madrid’s Jose Maria Gimenez and Diego Godin who are both world class defenders and the old-fashioned no-nonsense type. As well as this they have Arsenal star Torreira and who can’t love this little man his tenacity and selflessness in front of the ball is why Arsenal fans worship this man and he is fantastic. As well as this they have Cavani and Suarez up front and they are a great duo and will cause Brazils defence nightmares. Overall Brazil on paper have the better side but Uruguay have tiny Torreira a lion at heart.

Italy vs Portugal

These top clashes just keep coming don’t they, all credit to the new look competition, it might take a bit longer but I think its here to stay. This time its Ronaldo and Cancelo vs their Juventus teammates, Chiellini and Barzagli etc. This will certainly be a good game but I question whether Italy will be able to take a hold of this one; for me they haven’t quite gelled as a squad, with fresh faces coming in and old ones going out and they’re just in a state of confusion especially after their world cup qualification failure. On the other hand, Ronaldo’s Red Portuguese Army comes into this game as quite a strong side. Portugal now have very good players in every position and I’m surprised that they are not ranked higher in the world as they are a class side. Overall this game will be a good scrap, games vs Italy always are but for me Portugal are too good.

Game Changers: Immobile, Insigne, Ronaldo and Quaresma

England vs Croatia

Well, last time this game really underperformed. I expected a grudge match and lots of goals but all we got was a nil nil and a really boring game as well as no fans in the stadium which resulted in no atmosphere. So all I’m saying is this game better deliver some fireworks. Both sides have some incredible talent and did very well in the world cup respectively. England are a good side and seem to have a great chemistry and for me that shows in their result as they beat Spain away and were the first country to do so for about two decades which is an incredible achievement and shows the talent of this squad. Croatia are also a very good team and have a fantastic midfield duo of Modric and Rakitic who are world class players in world-class teams and this Croatia side got to the world cup final remember so they know how to play. Overall this game will produce a show and I think there will be goals.

Game Changers: Kane, Maguire, Modric and Rakitic

Germany vs Netherlands

Well well well, we have been blessed with another stormer of a match. I think I’ll get straight into it and state that the last time these two sides met the Netherlands won 3 – 0 and Germany were shown not to be good enough and I think this will be the same in this case. Germany has produced some of the finest players football’s ever seen and has players like Kroos and Neuer who will go down in the history books but they are underperforming and are simply not good enough. The Netherlands, as I stated earlier are a good side with good players and I think they can tear apart this unmotivated and embarrassed German side.

Game Changers: Kroos, Neuer, Depay and Van Djik
