Leicester City vs Newcastle United

This is a cracking mid-tableish clash on Friday night where seventh place Leicester go up against 15th placed Newcastle. Leicester are in some fine form at the moment winning their last four games and it seems like the squad is starting to gel under new manager Brendan Rodgers, who certainly had his sceptics at the start of his tenure. Leicester have got a strong squad in them with good players such as Maguire and Chilwell in defence and Vardy up top and this will present a difficult challenge for Newcastle. Speaking of Newcastle they have been in some poor form recently losing two and drawing in their last three games which isn’t going to give them much confidence going into this big clash for their Premier League survival.

Game Changers: Vardy. Maguire, Almiron and Rondon

Tottenham Hotspur vs Huddersfield Town

I think this one is pretty straight forward to call as one side is neat to the top of the table and one side is near the bottom of the table or should I say rock bottom. Tottenham got a huge one-nil win over Man City in the Champions League midweek and that will be a huge confidence booster for them. However, that game also saw Captain Harry Kane carried down the tunnel and has a significant ankle injury as well as Dele Alli having a broken hand. But with this being said Tottenham still have a top squad in them. Huddersfield, on the other hand, are already relegated and have lost every game in their last 5. This record is awful and that leads me to believe their trip to the New White Hart Lane might be a bit unpleasant.

Game Changers: Erikson, Son, Alderweireld and Mooy

Manchester United vs West Ham United

This is a huge clash for sides who really need the points. You could also argue the return of CHICHARITO! Manchester United got a bad result against Barcelona with a one nil loss to them. However, despite going behind early doors, United bounced back and played really well creating some fantastic chances and showing some good character and arguably got very unlucky to get the result they received. West Ham come to Old Trafford with two losses to their name and I think they might be in for a third one. For me, United showed a lot of fight mid-week and I feel they will use the result as a learning curve and really come out for a show against the Irons.

Game Changers; Pogba, Rashford, Chicharito and Anderson

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Palace won the earlier game this season and City have got a lot to prove and in fact need this game for the title race. Palace have been so strange this season. In terms of the league, they are safe from relegation but they have won away more than they have won at home and should be two or three places higher up in the table. One man to mention is Zaha who has a team of the season shout this year and has been superb and can threaten the City defence. Mentioning City they find themselves second behind Liverpool by two points and if they win they go above them which is as simple as that. We all know the class City have and they are obvious favourites but Selhurst Park has been a weak spot in recent times and they really should have lost there last season. Its a risky one but backing Palace is a good bet as City have very short odds.

Game Changers: Zaha, Townsend, De Bruyne and Aguero

Liverpool vs Chelsea

This is probably the biggest game of the weekend and why wouldn’t it be. Just look at the quality of teams on show here. Liverpool are a really good side and they just have a really good all-around squad. They have been seriously bolstered by Virgil Van Dijk and fans have been singing his praises for good reason. He is probably the main reason Liverpool are in this title race, he is arguably the best defender in the world. Van Dijk presents a very difficult challenge for Chelsea who looked average against no other than Slavia Praha (who..) and his presence could mean a shutout for Hazard and co. Due to Liverpool’s top form this season and how poor Chelsea have been I think it will be a win for the Reds.

Game Changers: Van Dijk, Mane, Kante and Hazard

Watford vs Arsenal

To finish we have got a London derby (unless you don’t count Watford as London, debatable?). Anyway last year Watford won this fixture, however, that was the season of Arsenals unbelievable away form (can you tell I’m joking). Watford are now in the FA Cup final and that will scare Arsenal as they will be playing with some serious confidence. Deulofeu and Deeney are going to make it difficult for a shaky Arsenal defence and we could see a few goals. Arsenal got a very convincing win against Napoli on Thursday and arguably could have scored three or four goals. They seemed to have good confidence going forward and for the first time this season the defence was pretty solid. Overall I feel the gunners will get this one even though they have bad away form, I think the confidence gained from this big European win. I wonder if this whole Cojones incident will come out again.

Game Changers: Deeney, Deulofeu, Lacazette and Ozil.
